News 12's Kristie Reeter and Caleb Silver, of Investopedia, take a Deep Dive into what items are causing the increase.
This year, on average, we should expect an 11.9% increase on the Thanksgiving meal for 10 people.
According to Silver, frozen turkey prices increased about 21.6%. "I don't know if folks are ready to substitute anything for the turkey on their Thanksgiving meal, but that is where you are going to pay the biggest increases," he says.
Ham is also up about $3 from last year, cranberries are up about 62 cents from last year.
Some of the least expensive dishes include sweet corn, and pumpkin, because they're grown in the Northeast.
