A portion of the Ronald McDonald House in Valhalla will be demolished today as part of the construction to remodel the facility.
The Ronald McDonald House was established 10 years ago this month. And now they are continuing construction to remodel the facility, giving it a brand new look.
The facility provides housing, food and other resources that families may need who have children facing medical challenges at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
They’ve been serving about 2,000 families for a decade now, and they say they need some updates to the facility.
That’s why the community is rallying together to give back to an organization that has done so much.
All the labor for remodeling like construction, plumping, electric is made possible through community volunteers and donations collected and coordinated by another charity called One Room Wonders.
They were established during the pandemic to re-create spaces for people to enjoy and gather and the Ronald McDonald house is their latest project.
