Deployed father surprises his children at Yonkers school

Elias Ramirez and Amina Brow’s father, Luis Aponte, has been deployed in Hawaii for seven months. He made it home just in time for Christmas and was able to organize with Principal Delany to surprise his girls.

Two students at César E. Chávez School received an early Christmas present when their deployed father surprised them by picking them up early from school.  
Elias Ramirez and Amina Brow’s father, Luis Aponte, has been deployed in Hawaii for seven months. He made it home just in time for Christmas and was able to organize with Principal Delany to surprise his girls. 
Aponte picked the sixth and first graders up early from school to spend the day with them.  
Aponte will be home for 15 days.
