A student at Yonkers Middle School was taken into custody after bringing a knife to school and getting into an altercation, according to a district spokesperson.

The incident happened Wednesday, and the district says the police department was notified.
One staff member was hit during that altercation, but it’s unclear whether they sustained any injuries.
