The Department of Education has launched its H1N1 vaccination program Wednesday in New York City elementary schools.
All elementary school students are eligible for a free swine flu shot. Health officials say although the threat of swine flu has been low so far this season, parents should be proactive and get their children vaccinated. Consent forms for the shot are due Friday.
However, some parents still have reservations about the new H1N1 vaccine.
"There [aren't] enough details about it," says parent Jimmy Rivera.
Middle- and high-school students will have a chance to get the vaccine at weekend clinics that will take place in November and December.
