The Spirit of Rockland Special Victims Center was officially opened today to help victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
The center, located on the campus of Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, was built by volunteers after the hospital donated a warehouse to be used for the center.
The center will help victims of domestic violence and sexual assaults get the help they need in one place.
Rockland County District Attorney Tom Zugibe was on hand for the opening and said the multi-million dollar center came at no expense to the taxpayers.
