Don’t let your fear of heights stop you from high flying fun at the Palisades Center in West Nyack
There are endless options for a fun-filled road trip to the Palisades Center in West Nyack.
News 12's Nikita Ramos shows you a thriller in the center of the mall in this week’s Road Trip: Close to Home.
West Nyack is home to one of the largest, if not THE largest, indoor ropes challenge course in the world - reaching more than 80 feet high in the middle of the Palisades Center.
"It's 5 stories high, about 85 feet tall, and about 75 obstacles give or take, plus a zip line," says Nikolaus Guzman, operations manager at Palisades Climb Adventure.
You start on the first floor and work your way up one step and a time.
"The first floor is definitely the easiest, helps you get used to the equipment, you're not that far off the ground, so makes you feel safer, and as they work their way up the obstacles tend to get a little more difficult," says Nikolaus.
You'll push mental strength and, of course those muscles, as you teeter across delicate courses dozens of feet in the air.
One of the best parts is that your age and experience doesn’t matter because safety is key here. You don’t have to clip on or off your safety line because you’re always attached.
After an adventure in the air, what better way to calm your nerves than an entire food court to choose from. A refreshing refuel calls for getting more of those steps in and you're at the perfect place to walk it off --with more than 200 shops in one of the biggest malls in America.
Between the businesses and the food, It's a great place to spend the day.
