Dozens of volunteers in New Windsor helped to donate food baskets ahead of Thanksgiving.
The group responsible, Hudson Valley Basket Brigade, is participating for its sixth year. The organization collects and donates holiday food items each year.
News 12 was told that they have enough baskets to feed families in both Orange and Dutchess counties.
"Until you start going out there and delivering, you don't realize. Every year we go out and do these deliveries, we see we're just really scratching the surface and there's so much need out there,” says Anthony Church, of Hudson Valley Basket Brigade.
Organizers say turkeys will also be handed out to families in need. They have enough baskets to feed hundreds this Thanksgiving.
