DPW crews across the Hudson Valley weren't taking any chances ahead of Tuesday's storm.
The Ramapo Highway Department says it has crews already in place and 3,000 pounds of salt. It also has dozens of trucks on standby, chains, sand and all of the other equipment needed in case of a storm.
The Highway Department will be working with O&R throughout the storm in case of any power outages.
Motorists are advised to leave themselves extra time to travel and to drive slow if the roads get slippery.
News 12 meteorologists say Tuesday will be stormy, with any lingering wintry mix changing to rain during the morning. Showery, windswept rains may be heavy at times and there is a risk of scattered thunderstorms.
