Startling images emerged this morning of a collision involving a state trooper and a Toyota Camry on I-95. The trooper's police cruiser was left severely damaged.
The incident occurred Thursday on the Gold Star Bridge, leading to its closure for several hours. The bridge has since been reopened.
Both parties involved were transported to the hospital, including the trooper, identified as Sgt. Christopher Vaillancourt. He suffered a fractured left arm.
The driver of the Toyota Camry also sustained nonlife-threatening injuries.
