News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Matt Hammer says to expect hot, humid weather along with scattered showers and stormy conditions later today.
NOW: Dry, warm and muggy. Hot and humid this afternoon with strong storms mainly after 3 p.m.
NEXT: Drying out this evening ahead of an amazing Father's Day Weekend.
NEXT WEEK: Extreme heat likely.
FRIDAY: Sun and clouds. Hot and humid. Highs around 88 degrees. Feels like Low 90s. Scattered showers can pop-up after noon, but the strong thunderstorm threat arrives after 3 p.m. and lasts through early to mid-evening. Heavy rain with some flooding, lightning, wind gusts in excess of 40 mph and hail. Clearing out after 9 p.m. Lows near 63 degrees.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny with lower humidity and highs around 82 degrees. Lows near 56 degrees.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs around 80 degrees. Lows near 61 degrees.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny with highs around 86 degrees. Lows near 67 degrees. Extreme heat possible for several days.
