2h agoA Dutchess County man was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for killing his girlfriend in his car.
William Dickie, 43, was also sentenced to serve 7 ½ to 15 years in prison on a manslaughter conviction.
Authorities say Dickie ran over 36-year-old Danielle DiStefano with his car in January 2022 outside her apartment in Rhinebeck.
Instead of calling for help, he brought her into her apartment, where she was found dead.
Prosecutor Christine Whelan says the sentence reflected the level of depravity that the defendant showed to the victim.
