Dutchess County man who killed his parents, 8-year-old brother and tried to murder his sister is now up for parole again.

Brian Britton, 50, was scheduled for a parole hearing sometime this week. The board has two weeks to render a decision, according to the Department of Community Corrections and Supervision.

Britton murdered his family with a shotgun in 1985 and used the weapon to seriously injure his sister.

He was granted parole in a special hearing last April, but the decision was overturned in June after the board reviewed shocking new evidence from the district attorney and Britton’s sister that allegedly showed a lack of remorse and history of victim blaming.

Britton was sentenced to 25 years to life for the killings and has served 34 years in prison.
