Dutchess County nonprofit offers free training to help protect children

More than 1,000 cases of child abuse are reported in Dutchess County each year, according to the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. The center is offering free virtual training to teach people how to recognize the warning signs of child abuse or neglect and how to report it.
