Dutchess County swears in Republican Sue Serino as new county executive

Dutchess County welcomed its new county executive, Republican Sue Serino, who was sworn into office Sunday.
Serino, a four-term state senator before her electoral setback last year, is poised to lead with a focus on community engagement and fostering a better future for the region.
Expressing her commitment to the community, Serino stated, "I promise not to only listen but to take action and find solutions that bring positive change to Dutchess County. You can count on me to lead Dutchess County and always put you, your family, taxpayers and our small businesses first."
Serino outlined her vision, intending to establish round-tables and advisory committees aimed at learning from the diverse perspectives within the community. Additionally, she emphasized her determination to prioritize investments in the future of Dutchess County's children.
As Serino takes the helm, her agenda prioritizes community collaboration, responsive governance, and a dedication to the county's future generations.
