A state Supreme Court judge has ruled that a Dutchess County towing company and its owner will have to pay penalties and restitution for repeatedly harming customers.
The attorney general's office had filed a lawsuit accusing Robert Scores and his company, Bobby's Towing of Poughkeepsie, of illegally towing cars, overcharging for towing fees, falsifying tow tickets and harming customers.
The ruling also bans him from the towing business unless he pays a $100,000 bond and requires him to pay $20,000 to the state in penalties.
News 12's calls to an attorney for the company have not been returned.
