East Ramapo Central School District parents met on Saturday at the Salvation Army Community Center in Spring Valley to discuss how the district can improve schools.

Chancellor Lester Young and Regent Fran Wills of the state board of regents attended the meeting.

Some members of the school board expressed concerns in applying changes to the schools.

Organizers of the meeting said another session is planned for March, where they will evaluate the progress that has been made and determine the next steps in implementing new improvements in the district.
