The East Ramapo School District will take an early vote on its school budget today because of a Jewish holiday next week.
Residents will cast their votes on a $198 million budget that includes cutting more than 100 school positions and closing an elementary school.
Ira Oustatcher, the schools superintendent, says advanced placement courses, music, sports and after-school activities will remain in the new budget.
