All schools in the East Ramapo School District have extended remote learning for the next two weeks.
Interim Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ray Giamartino says the decision was made with guidance from Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office.
The decision comes after a call last week from teachers asking for all schools within the district to go remote -- not just ones in “hot zone” areas.
In a statement, Dr. Giamartino said, “Please know that it remains a districtwide expectation that all students will be provided the academic and social-emotional support essential to their continued development.”
