An Elmsford family is expressing their dismay after a Valhalla cemetery removed decorations from their loved one's gravesite.
Joseph Sabatini, who passed away two years ago and is interred at "Gate of Heaven Cemetery," was honored on his 56th wedding anniversary.
However, his wife discovered that personal items placed at the site were no longer there.
In response, a cemetery spokesperson stated that all cemeteries, including Gate of Heaven, have rules and regulations governing items left at gravesites, with the intention of ensuring worker safety and maintaining a peaceful environment.
