The Village of Elmsford had several homes damaged from the flooding caused by the storm on Tuesday.
Residents on Babbitt Court told News 12 that the water rose high enough that some of the driveways look like canals.
"Last night, just watching the rain, watching the streets fill up with water, just up all night staying indoors,” said one homeowner. “Luckily for me and this home, the home was already raised.”
Several other houses flooded so badly that they are condemned and unlivable.
News 12 reached out to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner to see what is being done to help out residents. He said they applied for FEMA grants to raise the home almost two years ago and is waiting to hear back one way or another.
