Entertainment centers across the state are finally reopening their doors with 25% capacity inside.
For the Billy Bees at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack, it's been a long ride. The weekend marked the first time that arcades and family fun centers in New York have been allowed to open since the pandemic.
"It's delightful to be back," says Billy Bees CEO Shaun Kriel.
The business is built on play zones and touch areas that now need special sanitation. But for parents, the extra work is worth it because they say they like seeing their kids' faces light up once again.
"There is light at the end of the tunnel with this whole pandemic, places like this are opening obviously with safety restrictions, but very important for the kids to interact and enjoy indoor activities," says parent Rich Damico.
