The former CEO of the Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce has been charged with stealing from the organization.

Erin Meagher, 26, who also serves as Brewster Village trustee, was fired just before her arrest.

Chamber officials say she used a chamber debit card to purchase items for herself such as dresses and jewelry. She has been charged with grand larceny with is defined as stealing money or property valued at more than $1,000.

She is due in Carmel Town Court next month.
