Police across Orange County are investigating a string of overnight smash-and-grab business burglaries and attempted break-ins that happened within about a one-hour span and just miles from each other in Warwick, Florida and Goshen early Tuesday morning.
According to Goshen Town Police Chief James Post, multiple businesses were targeted overnight Tuesday and a vehicle was also stolen during the spree. Warwick police confirmed three incidents connected to the investigation.
One of the businesses targeted was the Mobil gas station and mini mart on Route 17A in Goshen.
The store clerk tells News 12 that suspects shattered the front glass door just before 5 a.m. Tuesday, but never made it inside. He says metal security bars installed on the door appear to have stopped the suspects from getting through.
The clerk shared a photo with News 12 showing a suspect at the doorway, and video of the smashed glass door following the attempted break-in.

In the Village of Florida, the Kwik Mart on Farries Avenue was also hit overnight on Tuesday.
The clerk says four masked suspects smashed through the front door at 4:38 a.m. and tore through the store, stealing merchandise and trying to take the cash register.
Surveillance video shared with News 12 shows the suspects grabbing tobacco products off shelves, ripping merchandise from racks and one suspect jumping over the counter to grab additional items behind the register.
The clerk says she arrived a short time later to open the store and found it ransacked.
In Warwick, burglars also targeted Wine Time Liquor Store on Route 94 North.
According to Warwick Police Chief John Rader, officers responded after a burglary alarm went off around 4:11 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say suspects smashed the front glass door, made it inside briefly and stole cash from the register before taking off.

An employee tells News 12 that alcohol was also stolen and shared surveillance video showing one of four suspects breaking the front door glass with a hammer to get in, and then the group ransacking the store.
Police say the incidents remain under investigation and no arrests have been made.
