Facebook announced it will pay out $1 billion to creators who produce content on its platforms. The company says it plans to roll out new bonus programs by the end of the year that will pay content creators for hitting specific milestones.

Over 150 companies are urging Congress to pass voting rights legislation. The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act would restore an updated version of the Justice Department's preclearance authority to approve voting changes in jurisdictions with a history of discrimination. The companies, which include PepsiCo, Amazon and Target, are calling for federal protection to bar states from impeding the rights of Americans to vote, especially Americans of color.

General Motors sent out a warning to 2017-2019 Bolt EV owners: don't charge your vehicles overnight. GM also says to park outdoors immediately after charging your vehicles. The warning only applies to the 69,000 Bolt EVs that were part of the recall population in November, which was called by GM and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
