Eddy Soto's 14-year-old son Nicholas was struck and killed by a car in 2014.
Soto says after the tragic loss, he decided to be part of LiveOnNY, an organization committed to helping people live on through organ and tissue donations.
He says his son would have wanted that.
Susan Campos, who once helped grieving families, found herself on the other side of the organ donation process after her mother died shortly after a routine operation.
LiveOnNY estimates one donor can save the life of eight people.
The organization helps families by providing numerous services.
