A family honored their late daughter with a fundraiser at Hair Studio Cipriano in White Plains over the weekend.
It was to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
The fundraiser was in memory of 21-year-old Dominique Franco, who died suddenly. Her goal was to become a pediatric oncology nurse at St. Jude's Children Hospital.
She started raising money for St. Jude's at the age of 5 by selling drinks at a lemonade stand she started.
Franco's family says some of the money raised will also go to Hackensack Hospital and to scholarships to keep her memory, her purpose and her mission alive.
