The three teens accused of kidnapping a 13-year-old girl all pleaded guilty in a Rockland County court Monday.
Mara Downes' family says Donald Siler, 19, Jamal Siler, 14, and Chantia Marshall, 19, displayed little remorse, even laughed, when they pleaded guilty to kidnapping Downes in April. Police say the three abducted Downes, threw her in the trunk of a stolen car, and fled. They say the teens were hoping to make $25,000 by holding her for ransom. Police reacted quickly, found Downes unharmed, and arrested the teens.
All three are scheduled to be formally sentenced December 6.
