The town of Greenburgh will be honoring fashion Icon Andre Leon Talley next month.
The town is putting up a commemorative street sign honoring Talley’s memory and legacy by renaming the intersection of Worthington Road and Saw Mill River Road to "Andre Leon Talley Way."
Talley, known as “The Pharaoh of Fabulosity," was a world-renowned fashion journalist, stylist, and a creative director. He was also editor-at-large of Vogue Magazine, the first African American creative director and first African American editor-at-large from 1998-2013.
Fashion style icons and celebrities will join local leaders for the unveiling on Sept. 21. There will be a reception at Talley's favorite local eatery, City Limits Diner in White Plains after the ceremony.
