A country home on Reservoir Road in Goshen was gutted by a fast-moving fire. News 12 had just spoken to the homeowner Kenny Chillemi on Tuesday, when he said he felt lucky that falling trees from Monday's storm just missed his home and his cars. Chillemi says he was in the yard working, when he noticed a fire starting around 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Goshen assistant fire chief says the fire may have started near the front porch, where the fire was the worst. News 12 asked Chillemi if he plans to rebuild. "I was trying to move some of that debris over there and the house was smoking. My poor wife. My wife definitely wants to rebuild. We'll see," he says. No one was inside the home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The case has been referred to Orange County fire investigators, who are now working to figure out the exact cause.
