Port Jervis police are emphasizing the increased presence of wildlife in the Hudson Valley during dawn and dusk. 
With this in mind, they shared on social media an incident and rescue involving a baby deer found wandering.
Vigilance is encouraged when driving in wooded areas to prevent collisions with wildlife.
