Some good news for Hudson Valley residents still dealing with damage from Hurricane Ida - the deadline to apply for federal assistance is being extended.
The new deadline to apply for FEMA Disaster Assistance is Jan. 4.
This deadline applies to those affected by Ida living in Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, or Westchester counties. 
The new deadline also applies for those interested in a disaster loan from the Small Business Administration.
