A fire broke out inside a residential building in Mount Vernon.

It happened on South Second Avenue.

Crews were taking down the two-alarm blaze just before 5 p.m. 

Neighbors say they were shocked to see the flames spilling out from the second floor.

So far, no injuries are being reported.
