A three-alarm fire at a multifamily home in Yonkers left six firefighters with minor injuries Saturday on Elinor Place.
It sparked around 5 p.m. It took more than an hour to extinguish.
Fire Chief Chris Canfield said that it appeared the fire “may have started on the outside and extended up” into the top floor.
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano was also at the scene, as is procedure when a fire goes to three alarms.
It was not immediately clear how many residents were displaced. Details surrounding how the fire started have not yet been released.
