A raging fire ripped through a Victorian house in Goshen Monday, destroying a lifetime of memories while the owners were away.
Fire officials responded to 911 calls near Webster Avenue and Hill Street around 2:45 p.m. Responders said they had a difficult time fighting the fire because of the home's construction. The roof caved in and the third floor collapsed, damaging the owners' prized antiques.
A neighbor said she feels bad for the older couple that lives in the house, saying she can't imagine them coming back to find out they have no home.
