A firefighter is recovering after the response to a house fire in Dutchess County.
The Roosevelt Fire District says the fire broke out around 5:15 a.m. Thursday on Mountain View Avenue in Hyde Park.
Crews arriving at the scene found heavy fire from the windows on the first and second floors.
Fire officials say the early 1900s construction made the response challenging for crews.
The bulk of the fire was knocked down after around 45 minutes.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital for evaluation and has since been released.
The fire district believes the cause of the fire was accidental. The owners were not home at the time.
