Firefighters in Pleasantville rescue dog that fell through ice on pond

Firefighters were able to use their equipment to safely lower themselves over the pond.

Volunteer firefighters in Pleasantville are being hailed as heroes Friday for rescuing a dog that fell through the ice on Opperman's Pond.
Firefighters were able to use their equipment to safely lower themselves over the pond. They then used the bucket to safely rescue to the dog without any firefighter having to get into the icy water.
The dog was uninjured and happy to be reunited with its owner.
