The first-ever Japan-led sake brewery on the east coast is now open in Dutchess County.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the grand opening of the $80 million Dassai Blue Sake Brewery in Hyde Park.

Over the past 30 years, Dassai has witnessed significant growth in Japan, the U.S., and worldwide. 

The establishment of their New York brewery marks their latest expansion into the global sake market.
