Flash flooding impacted several roads in Clarkstown after storms brought heavy rain and winds and left some damage behind.
The water was flowing along the West Nyack Fire District substation off Cemetery Lane Tuesday evening, where multiple cars were left behind after first responders pulled at least four drivers out of rising flood waters.
Another rescue occurred down the street on Bobby Lane, where witnesses said a woman was trapped in her car and had to be pulled out.
Other roads that were flooded included parts of Strawtown Road, Bardonia Road and Main Street in New City.
But as of Tuesday evening, most affected roads were already reopened, just hours after the rain ended.
