Fishkill Town Supervisor Ozzy Albra is now defending how he reacted after a senior citizen brought a gun into Town Hall.
Officials say John Jackson took a gun out of his holster and showed it to an employee while he was paying his water bill last week.
Albra says the employee did not call police right away because they said Jackson was not a threat. However, Jackson was arrested and charged with misdemeanor menacing the next day.
The town supervisor was not there at the time and was notified later on. At last night's town board meeting, he said everything was handled properly. Albra encourages anyone with concerns to reach out to town hall.
