A family cannot return home after a car fire caused serious damage to a house in Croton-on-Hudson.

Officials said they received a report of a vehicle on fire in a garage Wednesday morning.

The flames spread to the home, damaging the second floor and attic.

One person was home at the time, but no injuries were reported.
