Getting back from the holidays is proving to be a headache for many travelers as airlines are delaying and canceling thousands of flights.
Major airlines are blaming the cancellations on staff and crew having to call out sick because of the Omicron surge.
U.S. Airlines canceled over 1,200 flights Sunday and over 5,000 flights were delayed, according to the tracking site FlightAware.
More flights were canceled or delayed coming into and going out of Westchester County Airport Monday.
Airport officials are urging passengers to check your flight status before heading out today.
