Getting back from the holidays is proving to be a headache for many travelers as
airlines are delaying and canceling thousands of flights.
Major
airlines are blaming the cancellations on staff and crew having to call out
sick because of the Omicron surge.
U.S. Airlines
canceled over 1,200 flights Sunday and
over 5,000 flights were delayed, according to the tracking site FlightAware.
More flights were canceled or delayed coming into and going out of Westchester County Airport
Monday.
Airport officials are urging passengers to check
your flight status before heading out today.
