Even though it?s winter, flowers are blooming in the Bronx as the New York Botanical Garden kicked off its Fourth Annual Orchid Show Saturday.
The botanical garden, located at Bronx River Parkway and Fordham Road, showcases 8,000 different varieties of orchids. While most are grown at the botanical garden, there are some types of orchids from all over the world. As visitors stroll the garden, they can also partake in question and answer sessions and workshops.
The orchid show will be at the New York Botanical Garden until April 2.
