Strong wind gusts that reached 60 miles per hour Thursday prompted authorities to advise Bronx drivers about taking precautions on the road.
Commuters on the Throgs Neck Bridge were cautioned to reduce speeds. Some trucks were required to double-check that their loads were secure and would not fall onto roads.
"Terrible day," said one resident braving the windy conditions.
