Charlotte Bennett, a former aide to ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, has dropped her federal sexual harassment lawsuit against him.
Bennett, a native of Katonah, had alleged that Cuomo sexually harassed her on several occasions.
In a statement, Bennett and her attorney claimed that since filing the lawsuit, Cuomo has used the legal proceedings to retaliate against her.
However, Cuomo's attorneys said Bennett's decision to drop the lawsuit avoids having to admit under oath that her allegations were false.
