A former Peekskill school aide was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say Jeanine Stilwell provided a prescription anti-psychotic medication to a 4-year-old child.

The 42-year-old gave the medication Seroquel without the consent of the child's parents or authorization from the district.

The incident happened at Uriah Hill Elementary School last March.

Police say the parents told them the child appeared lethargic and went to the hospital, where the police were called.

Stilwell is also facing assault and reckless endangerment charges.
