Just over the Rockland County border with New Jersey, four people are dead after a single car crash on the Palisades Parkway Friday morning.

The driver of a Ford Econoline passenger cargo van with New York plates lost control and crashed on the Palisades Parkway in Englewood Cliffs just before 1:30 a.m., police say.

Palisades Interstate Parkway Police have confirmed the van involved in the accident was coming from a warehouse.

The van was carrying 12 passengers. 

Four people riding in the van were killed, the eight others taken to hospitals with injuries ranging from head trauma to bumps and bruises.  

None of the passengers or those who lost their lives have been identified.

The investigation continues and there's still no word on what caused the accident.
