Four men indicted in Bronx firearm trafficking conspiracy

Four men are facing a slew of charges for a firearm trafficking conspiracy case set in the Concourse section of The Bronx.
The District Attorney’s Office says detectives conducted the series of undercover firearms and narcotics purchases from 29-year-old Junior Alvarado between July and November of 2025.
Nine guns were exchanged during the sales, including a .300 Blackout semi-automatic rifle.
The investigation revealed that Brandon Suero, Erick Martinez and Tajamar Daishah Hyatt, of Florida, provided Alvarado with some of the weapons.
Investigators say one of the sales was caught on surveillance footage and occurred at a playground area on East Clarke Place.
The charges against the men include criminal sale of a firearm, criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon.
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark and New York City Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch praised the work of the officers involved in the investigation in a press release.
“These defendants allegedly provided high-powered pistols, and a semi-automatic rifle that fires ammunition suited for hunting and close-range combat. They allegedly brought a loaded gun into a playground. We will not tolerate such wanton disregard for public safety,” said Clark.
“The defendants in this case were part of a dangerous trafficking ring that funneled seven pistols, one semi-automatic rifle, and drugs into a thriving Bronx community, even operating near a public playground in broad daylight. The illegal distribution of guns and narcotics places New Yorkers at risk and has no business on our streets, but thanks to the meticulous work of our NYPD investigators, this operation has been shut down,” said Tisch.
