Mountain School Director Robert Gallo says this local mountain is known to help beginners learn to ski and ride so the whole family can get into the sport together.

Your lift ticket will get you up on about a dozen trails at the family-owned mountain.

They run from beginner to expert with fun detours through trees and vast views of the Hudson Valley.

If you want to try something different, you can also go tubing. It's a simple way to enjoy the slopes, all you have to do is sit and slide.

Everyone in the family will find a reason to smile at Mount Peter.

Even if that means filling up with comfort foods, warming up indoors and savoring sweet moments, before hitting the trails again!
