Friday was day two in an effort to relieve traffic on the Tappan Zee Bridge, but many drivers are still frustrated.
The additional southbound lane on the Tappan Zee Bridge is now creating some problems for northbound commuters who are calling for relief of their own.
Some Rockland lawmakers say a formal investigation by Gov. David Paterson is warranted to evaluate the conduct and handling of the repairs.
The major congestion problem involved a construction project that caused traffic for weeks. Drivers were noticeably frustrated on the road Friday afternoon.
?It took my husband two hours to get to work the other day,? says Eddie Orlando, of Valley Cottage. ?Nobody can afford four hours on the road.?
Thruway officials have not yet decided if they'll keep the new traffic pattern in place until the construction project is complete.
